I find it exciting to watch the changes in the weather. Strange, but true.
Since the really cold weather started earlier this week, I've been keeping an eye on the Weather Channel online. It's interesting to see how the forecast can change throughout the day.
Early this morning (Thursday, Feb. 3), for example, at about 7:30 a.m. the temperature was 28 degrees, according to the Weather Channel website. By 1 p.m. it had risen to 31, and now , at about 4 p.m. it is 33.
According to the website, tonight (Thursday, Feb. 3) will dip to 24.
Now, for the forecast of snow, how might that turn out?
Early this morning we had a 50-percent chance of snow, with "Snow Showers Early," according to the WC. It stayed so at 1 p.m., but by 4 p.m. the chances of snow dropped to 30 percent, with "Flurries" forecast.
By tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 4) it was forecast to be 53 in the afternoon, at 7 a.m., then 51 by 1 p.m. and also at 4 p.m.
We'll see what Friday brings. Stay tuned for Part II, to be written Friday afternoon.
(Part II will start here)
Well, we know what happened Friday! A scheduled late-starting school day never got started as it was cancelled. Class will be made up on Friday, Jan. 18, which was to have been a holiday.
Anyway, enjoy the weather while it's not freezing out.
